UGC for brands that buy creative every month and need it under control

UGC for brands is no longer a side project run from one marketer's inbox. When paid social needs new creative every week, the cost that hurts is not the clip, it is the time spent finding people, the license nobody wrote down and the lack of control once three or ten people are booking. UgcModels gives the decision maker a casting book with published rates, a usage rights record on every asset and plan level controls for the whole team.

Where the real cost of UGC hides

A founder or head of growth usually sees UGC as a line item: a few hundred dollars per video. The bigger cost sits around that number. Someone on the team scrolls social apps for faces, sends messages, waits for replies, negotiates a price, writes a brief in a shared doc, collects files from a download link and then tries to remember what the brand is allowed to do with each clip. Multiply that by twenty creatives a month and you have a part time job nobody hired for.

The second hidden cost is risk. A clip that ran as an organic post gets moved into a paid campaign. Months later the creator asks why their face is still in an ad, and the only proof of the deal is a message thread. That is the moment a brand pauses a winning ad, pays a late license fee or argues about terms it never wrote down.

  • Hours per creative spent on search, messages and follow ups.
  • Rates agreed one by one, with no shared reference point.
  • Usage rights that live in email instead of on the asset.
  • No view of who on the team booked what, for which brand.

Less time from idea to approved clip

UgcModels starts with search, not with a job post. Your team filters adult, ID verified creators by niche, platform, format, age band (21 to 29, 30 to 39, 40+), setting and rate, then watches real portfolio clips on each comp card. Rates are public on every rate card, so the price conversation is over before the first message.

Picked creators go onto a shortlist. On Growth and above your team can send a casting call to that shortlist, which asks only the people you chose whether they can take the job on your dates. The brief is a structured form with fixed fields, delivery lands inside the order with 2 revision rounds, and standard turnaround is 5 business days. The steps are the same on every order, which is what makes the process repeatable for a team instead of a person.

The full flow is described on the UGC platform page, and the hiring steps on hire UGC creators.

Usage rights written into every order

Every order has a usage rights field that the brand picks before the creator starts: organic only (included in the rate), paid ads for 3 months (plus 30 percent), paid ads for 12 months (plus 60 percent) or perpetual (plus 100 percent). When the order closes, the platform writes a rights record per asset with the creator, the tier, the start and end dates and the platforms covered.

For a decision maker this changes one question. Instead of "do we have the right to run this" being a search through old messages, it becomes a lookup on the asset. When a term is close to its end date, you can see it and decide whether to extend or retire the clip. Read the tiers in detail in our UGC usage rights guide.

Controls that grow with the team

Plans are built around how many people book and how many brands you run. Starter has 1 seat, Growth 3, Scale 10 and Enterprise 25. Scale adds 5 brand or client workspaces, client approval links and a consolidated monthly invoice, so finance gets one document instead of one per creator. Enterprise adds SSO (SAML), roles and permissions, an audit log, a 99.9 percent uptime SLA, invoicing on net terms and a security review pack. Details for IT and procurement sit on the security page.

  • Seats per plan, so you know who can book.
  • Workspaces per brand or client, each with its own shortlists, orders and rights records.
  • Client approval links on Scale, so a client signs off without a seat.
  • Audit log and roles on Enterprise for larger teams.

What a brand pays and why it is predictable

The subscription covers search, shortlists, ordering and rights records. Starter costs USD 49 per month or USD 24 per month billed yearly (USD 288). Growth is USD 149 or USD 74 yearly (USD 888). Scale is USD 399 or USD 199 yearly (USD 2,388). Enterprise is USD 999 or USD 499 yearly (USD 5,988). Yearly billing is half price and is the default.

On top of the creator rate your plan adds a platform fee per order of 12, 8, 5 or 3 percent, and orders per month go up to 5, 30, 120 or 400. Creators set their own rate inside the platform rate bands, for example USD 150 to 300 for a 30 s clip, and keep 100 percent of it. Higher plans lower the fee, so teams that order often pay less per order. The full table sits on UGC creator pricing.

FAQ

Is UgcModels a fit for a small brand

Yes. Starter covers a solo founder or an Amazon seller with up to 5 orders a month and one seat. You move to Growth when the team needs more orders, more seats or casting calls.

How do we keep track of what we licensed

Each closed order writes a rights record per asset with the tier, the dates and the platforms. Scale adds bulk export of those records and Enterprise adds export through an API.

Can our agency work inside our account

Yes. Give the agency seats on your plan, or let the agency run its own Scale or Enterprise account with a workspace for your brand and send you client approval links.

Are payments refundable

Payments are final. We refund only a double charge, a proven unauthorized charge or a total failure of the service, as described in the refund policy.
