Hire UGC creators in seven steps, from first search to signed rights

Hiring a UGC creator should take an afternoon, not a week of messages. On UgcModels you search adult, ID verified creators, read their comp cards, shortlist, send a structured brief and approve the delivery inside one order. Here is the full flow, with the checks that separate a good booking from a reshoot.

  1. 1

Decide what the ad needs before you search

Before you search, write down four things. The platform the ad runs on, the format, the setting your product belongs in and the rights tier you need. A Meta feed testimonial in a bathroom with 12 month paid rights is a different booking from an organic TikTok unboxing at a desk. These four answers become your filters.

  2. 2

    Filter the roster

Open search, pick the niche and set platform, format, age band (21 to 29, 30 to 39, 40+), setting and rate. No account or card is needed to look. Niche pages such as skincare UGC creators or pets UGC creators start with filters already set.

  3. 3

    Read the comp cards

Once you have an account, each matching creator opens as a comp card with portfolio clips, settings, gear, languages, platforms, formats and turnaround. Spend two minutes per card. The checklist below tells you what to look for.

  4. 4

    Shortlist and compare

Add three to six creators to a shortlist and open the compare view. Rates, age bands, settings and turnaround line up in columns. On Growth and above you can open a casting call to the shortlist to confirm who can take the job on your dates.

  5. 5

    Send the brief

The brief form covers product, audience, the problem you solve, three hooks, a shot list, do and do not, deliverables with aspect ratios and the rights tier. Our UGC brief template shows a filled version.

  6. 6

    Review and approve the delivery

Standard turnaround is 5 business days. Review the files in the order, then approve or ask for a revision. Starter includes 2 revision rounds. Payment goes to the creator after approval, or automatically after 5 days without a response.

  7. 7

    Keep the rights record

When the order closes, the platform writes a rights record per asset with tier, dates and platforms. Your media buyer checks it before moving a clip from organic to paid.

What to check on a comp card

  • The setting in the clips matches where your product is used. Skincare reads best in a bathroom, a blender in a kitchen.
  • The first two seconds of each clip land a hook. If the creator opens slowly in the portfolio, they will open slowly in your ad.
  • Audio is clean. Listen with sound on once, even though most viewers will not.
  • The creator lists your platform and aspect ratio. A 9:16 TikTok and a 4:5 Meta feed crop need different framing.
  • The age band fits your buyer. A supplement for adults over 40 converts better with a creator in the 40+ band.
  • The rate plus rights uplift plus your plan fee fits the budget for the batch.
  • Turnaround lands before your launch date.

Red flags that mean keep looking

  • Every portfolio clip is the same angle and the same room.
  • No clip in the format you need.
  • Product held too close to read, or labels hidden.
  • Lighting that changes mid clip.

What a hire costs

Creators set rates inside the platform rate bands. A 15 s clip runs USD 100 to 200, a 30 s clip USD 150 to 300, a 60 s clip USD 200 to 450 and a photo set of 5 USD 120 to 250. Hook variants add USD 25 to 50 each. Paid ads rights add 30 percent for 3 months, 60 percent for 12 months and 100 percent for perpetual. Your plan adds a fee of 12, 8, 5 or 3 percent per order.

FAQ

How long does it take to hire a UGC creator

Searching and shortlisting take minutes. Delivery takes 5 business days as standard, and the creator's comp card shows their own turnaround.

Can I hire the same creator again

Yes. Keep them on a shortlist and book a new order whenever you need fresh creative. Each order gets its own rights record.

Do I sign a separate contract with each creator

No. The order carries the brief, the deliverables and the rights tier, and the rights record is written when the order closes.

Can I hire creators without showing a face

Yes. Filter by hands only or voiceover formats.
