UGC brand deals that start with a brand finding you

Most creators chase UGC brand deals by sending pitch emails and hoping someone replies. On UgcModels the direction is reversed. Brands open the roster with a product, a platform and a budget in mind, filter until the right faces remain, and then reach out. Your job is to be the profile that survives their filters and to say yes to the deals that are worth it.

A brand deal on UgcModels is a written order

A deal is not a vague promise in a direct message. It is an order with the format, the length, the aspect ratio, the deadline, the usage rights tier and the money already stated. The brand funds the order when it books, so the payment exists before you press record. You can read every term before you accept, and nothing changes after you accept unless both sides agree inside the order thread.

  • Format and length, for example a 30 s testimonial in 9:16
  • Shot list and hooks the brand wants to test
  • Usage rights tier with a start date and an end date
  • Your rate plus any rights uplift, shown as one number you receive
  • Deadline, with the standard turnaround of 5 business days
  • 2 revision rounds, so the scope of changes is capped

What a brand does before it ever messages you

A brand starts with a casting search. A skincare team might filter for bathroom routines, the 30 to 39 age band, TikTok and a 30 s clip. A pet food seller might pick hands only, kitchen and Amazon listing. Each filter removes profiles, and the brand only opens comp cards that are left. Deals go to creators whose cards answer the filter questions, so empty fields cost you bookings in a way you never see.

Fields that decide whether you are in the result

What the brand filtersWhat raises your chances
Niche List only the niches you can film convincingly, with at least one clip each
Setting Name the rooms and places you can really shoot in, then show them in clips
Format Mark testimonial, unboxing, demo, voiceover, hands only or photo set only if you deliver it well
Platform Select the placements your clips are cut for, such as Reels or Meta feed ads
Rate Price every format you offer, because a missing price hides you from budget filters
Turnaround Keep the standard 5 business days honest, or offer faster only when you can hold it

Tips on clips that get you into more results are on the UGC creator portfolio page.

Casting calls go to a shortlist, not to the whole internet

Brands on Growth and higher plans can send a casting call to the creators they saved on a shortlist. If you receive one, the brand has already watched your clips and decided you fit. The call shows the product category, the format, the rights tier, the dates and the fee. You answer with yes or no. There is no open pitch round where a hundred people compete for one slot, and no cost to you for answering.

Direct bookings from your rate card

A brand can also skip the casting call and book you straight from your rate card. In that case the order arrives with your posted price for the chosen format. You still read the brief and accept or decline, so a direct booking never forces you into work that does not suit you.

How the money in a deal adds up for you

Your rate card sets the base. Paid usage adds a fixed percentage on top: paid ads for 3 months add 30 percent, paid ads for 12 months add 60 percent, and perpetual use adds 100 percent. Organic only is included in your rate. The brand pays the platform fee separately, so none of it comes out of your side.

Example dealAmount you receive
30 s clip at your rate of USD 180 USD 180
Paid ads for 12 months, plus 60 percent USD 108
Two hook variants at USD 30 each USD 60
Total paid to you USD 348

Payment is released when the brand approves the delivery, or automatically 5 days after delivery if the brand does not respond. All rate bands are listed on UGC creator pricing, and the rights tiers are explained in the UGC usage rights guide.

How to tell a good deal from a bad one

Because every order states its terms, you can judge a deal in under a minute. Accept when the brief is clear and the rights match the money. Decline politely when they do not. Declining does not hurt your profile.

  • The brief names the product, the audience and at least one hook
  • The rights tier is paid when the clip will run as an ad
  • The deadline leaves room for filming, editing and one revision
  • The shot list fits the settings you actually have
  • The product claims are cosmetic or practical, never medical
  • Anything asked outside the order, such as extra clips or longer use, is added to the order, not promised in a message

FAQ

Do I need to pitch brands to get deals

No. Brands find you through search and shortlists. A complete comp card and strong clips do the pitching for you.

Can I turn down a casting call

Yes. Answer no and the brand moves on to the next creator on its shortlist. Saying no has no effect on how you appear in search.

What if a brand wants to use my clip longer than agreed

The longer use is added to the order as a higher rights tier, and the uplift is paid to you. The rights record is updated, so both sides see the new end date.

Do I pay a fee on brand deals

No. You keep 100 percent of your rate and of any rights uplift. The platform fee is paid by the brand.

Can I take deals for products I would not use

You can decline any order. Brands get better clips from creators who believe in the product, so choose niches you use in real life.
