Terms of Service

Last updated October 20, 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and the administrator of the ugcmodels.com service for using UgcModels, the casting book where brands search, shortlist and book UGC creators. By creating an account you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Cookie Policy. Questions go to support@ugcmodels.com.

Who can use UgcModels

The service has two kinds of accounts. A brand account is for a business, agency or person buying UGC for a brand. A creator account is for a person who makes UGC and offers it through a profile, comp card and rate card. Brand users must be at least 18 and able to sign a contract for the business they represent. Creators must be at least 21 and pass our ID check before their profile goes live.

You keep your login private and are responsible for activity in your account. One person per seat: sharing a seat between several people is not allowed. Tell us at support@ugcmodels.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

What UgcModels does

We provide the search, shortlists, briefs, messaging, ordering, approval, payment handling and usage rights records. Creators are independent and are not our employees or agents. Each order is an agreement between the brand and the creator for the work and the rights described in it, and we run the platform that records and pays for it.

Subscription and automatic renewal

Brands book through one of four paid plans: Starter, Growth, Scale and Enterprise. Each plan is a recurring subscription billed monthly or yearly, at the prices and limits shown on our pricing page at checkout. Yearly billing is charged up front for the whole year. There is no free brand plan, and we do not sell credits or one time packages.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then current price of your plan, until you cancel. The checkout, your confirmation email and your account all show the renewal date and amount. We email a renewal notice before a yearly renewal.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account settings, without contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Plan limits and changes

Each plan has monthly limits on orders, seats, active shortlists and workspaces. When you reach a limit, new orders wait for the next billing period or you move to a higher plan. Moving up takes effect once the price difference is paid, and that difference is charged right away. Moving down takes effect at the next billing period. Deleting a shortlist or an order does not give back monthly usage.

How an order works

An order sets out the creator, the format and number of deliverables, the brief, the delivery date (standard turnaround is 5 business days unless the order says otherwise) and the usage rights tier. The brand funds the order when placing it. The order total is the creator's rate for the format, any add-ons and rights uplift, plus the platform fee of the brand's plan.

PlanPlatform fee per order
Starter 12 percent
Growth 8 percent
Scale 5 percent
Enterprise 3 percent

Creators set their rates inside the platform rate bands published on the pricing page. The platform fee is paid by the brand and is never taken from the creator's rate.

Approval and revisions

After delivery, the brand reviews the work and either approves it or asks for a revision. Each order includes 2 revision rounds. A revision request must point to the brief and say what to change. It cannot add new deliverables, new scripts or a new concept: those need a new order.

Payment is released to the creator when the brand approves, or automatically 5 days after delivery if the brand neither approves nor asks for a revision. Once payment is released, the order is complete and the funds are not returned to the brand.

Card payments

Payments are card payments processed by our payment provider. Payments are final. The only exceptions are set out in our Refund Policy: a double charge, a proven unauthorized charge or a total failure of the service. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first is a breach of these terms.

Content license per order tier

Each order carries one usage rights tier, chosen by the brand and accepted by the creator when the order is placed. On payment release, the creator grants the brand a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the delivered content within that tier.

TierWhat the brand may doUplift on the rate
Organic only Post on the brand's own social accounts, website and email, with no paid promotion Included
Paid ads 3 months Organic use plus paid ads for 3 months from approval Plus 30 percent
Paid ads 12 months Organic use plus paid ads for 12 months from approval Plus 60 percent
Perpetual Organic use and paid ads with no end date Plus 100 percent

Organic use continues after a paid ads term ends, but paid promotion must stop. Content may be edited, cropped and captioned, but it may not be used in a way that suggests the creator endorses something other than the product in the brief. Exclusivity, whitelisting through a creator's own account and use in broadcast media need to be written into the order.

Every approved asset gets a rights record that shows the creator, the order, the tier, the start date and the end date. The rights record is the reference for what was agreed. Read more on UGC usage rights.

Profile, verification and pay

A creator profile is free. Creators keep 100 percent of the rate they set, and the brand pays the platform fee on top. To go live, a creator confirms they are 21 or older and passes an ID check through our identity verification provider. We may remove a profile if the check fails or if the information on the profile turns out to be untrue.

Creators are responsible for their own taxes and for the accuracy of their payout details. Payouts go to the payout account set up in the creator's profile after payment is released.

Creator conduct

  • Deliver original work that matches the brief, on time, and say early if a date is at risk.
  • Show only work you made and have the right to show in your portfolio.
  • Have the consent of every person who appears in your content, and every person must be an adult.
  • Do not use music, footage, fonts or trademarks you do not have the right to license on to the brand.
  • Keep communication and payment for orders found on UgcModels inside the service.
  • Do not make claims about a product that the brief does not support or that you know are false.

FTC disclosure duty

When content is posted in a way that a viewer could take as an independent opinion, the person posting it must make the material connection clear, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission Endorsement Guides and similar rules elsewhere. A creator posting on their own account adds a clear disclosure such as "ad" or "paid partnership". A brand running content as ads is responsible for the claims in those ads and for any disclosure the ad platform or the law requires.

Prohibited content

No order, profile, brief or message may involve:

  • Sexual or adult content, nudity or sexualized framing of any person.
  • Any person under 18 on camera, and no creator under 21.
  • Hate, harassment, threats or content that promotes violence.
  • Unsafe or illegal products, prescription drugs, weapons or regulated products sold without the required approvals.
  • False health, financial or results claims, fake reviews or content presented as a real customer review when it is not.
  • Material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.

We may refuse, pause or remove anything that breaks these rules and suspend the accounts involved.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the casting book, copy creator profiles, test the security of the service without our written permission, create accounts to avoid a suspension or use the service to contact creators for work outside it.

Our responsibility

We provide the service as it is and as it is described on our pages. We do not guarantee the commercial results of any content. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where they apply.

Suspension and closing an account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails verification, is used for fraud or raises a chargeback. Orders already in progress are settled under these terms, and rights already granted on approved content continue.

How disputes are handled

If something goes wrong between a brand and a creator, or between you and us, write to support@ugcmodels.com first and describe what happened with the order number. We review the order records, messages and deliveries and propose a solution, and most disputes end there. If a dispute cannot be settled by email, it is decided under the law that applies to you as a consumer, or otherwise under the law that applies to the service, and nothing in these terms takes away a right you have by law.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top and email account holders about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
